Edith Cowan University aims to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

For this website, the following minimum standards have been considered:

  • Minimum colour contrast
  • Minimum font size, weight, and spacing
  • Alt text for imagery
  • Clear page titles, page/link descriptions, and content headings
  • Best practice responsive layouts and menus
  • Clear forms including mandatories and error messaging

  • Press the Ctrl key and use the + or – key to zoom in and out

Increase Colour Contrast

  • Press Alt + left shift + PRINT SCREEN keys together to open the dialogue box. Select YES to turn on High Contrast

Mac OS

  • Press the Apple key and use the + or – key to zoom in and out

Increase Colour Contrast

  • Mac OS: Press Cmd + Ctrl + Alt +8 keys to invert the colours on your screen
  • Note this function won’t work until you go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Accessibility and tick the Invert Colours box
