Student Placements

Service-learning models and student-led clinics result in real-world training opportunities.

A rich and rewarding placement

We support undergraduate and postgraduate students to undertake rural and remote clinical placements across the South West, focusing on a range of health, aged care and disability services. Ensuring students have a smooth and enriching experience during their placements is vital to the success of the program.

Supported Disciplines

The UDRH SW primarily offers clinical placements and interdisciplinary activities in allied health, nursing, and midwifery.

Student Testimonials

One of the most rewarding aspects was the opportunity to form genuine multidisciplinary connections and lasting friendships with those I lived and worked with. The support from UDRH SW was incredible, from ongoing guidance to the warm sense of community fostered at Harvest sessions, I felt supported from every angle.

I really enjoyed my placement in Busselton and found that my supervisors, staff, patients and the UDRH team were all so welcoming, kind and supportive. I also thoroughly enjoyed all the harvest sessions and the cultural orientation/tour, and feel that these really enriched my placement experience. They also helped me connect with other students on placement, which was a big part of my placement experience in Busselton.
