Pharmacy student Celin shared her incredible experience on placement in the South West!
Reflecting on her time in Bunbury, Celin described the placement as “a valuable and rewarding learning experience” that gave her the opportunity to apply the knowledge she had gained throughout her pharmacy degree in a real clinical setting.
She also highlighted the benefits of staying in the accommodation onsite at ECU South West, which helped her settle into placement and connect with students from other health disciplines. Living alongside students from different professional backgrounds “broadened my understanding of multidisciplinary healthcare and reinforced the importance of collaboration between different professions to provide the best possible patient care.”
For Celin, the connections made during placement were a highlight, with the experience “even more enjoyable and memorable” and providing the opportunity to build friendships and gain a greater appreciation of the contribution of all members of the healthcare team.
We’re so pleased to hear how this placement provided valuable clinical experience, meaningful connections and a supportive environment beyond the day-to-day placement experience. It’s one of the unique benefits of completing a rural placement in the South West.
