
Allied health clinicians and nursing professionals, both community and hospital based attended a research workshop to hear from Edith Cowan University’s Associate Professor Erin Godecke. The UDRH SW hosted the event on the Bunbury Campus for those who have a passion for conducting research and wish to progress from passion to action.
Attendees were provided with tools and strategies to navigate their own research journey including identifying research priorities, developing a research question, working in a team, and barriers and facilitators in research.
Associate Professor Godecke is a Vice-Chancellor’s Professorial Fellow at Edith Cowan University and Director of Allied Health Research at Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospital Group. She is a practising speech pathologist, working in stroke care, aphasia rehabilitation and the development of Allied Health research in clinical practice. Erin works and researches in interdisciplinary teams and supervises a large team of Allied Health researchers.
