The Djoowak Project – Indigenous Healthcare Professional Video

Are you an Indigenous Allied Health Professional, Nurse/ Midwife or current student?

The University Department of Rural Health South West is looking for passionate Indigenous professionals or current students to be part of The Djoowak Project- an exciting initiative aimed at increasing awareness, inspiration, and enrolments of Indigenous students into allied health, nursing or midwifery courses.

We want to hear from you!

We’re inviting Indigenous Professionals and current students to feature in a short video or reel to promote your field and bring to life the powerful message:

“You can’t be what you can’t see.”

Who are we trying to reach?

  • Indigenous high school students
  • Career changers

The goal is simple — to help people find inspiration in the achievements of others and take that step towards enrolling in an allied health, nursing or midwifery course or encouraging someone they know to do the same.

To thank you for your participation in The Djoowak Project, a $100 visa gift card will be offered!

Please register your interest by the 31st August 2026.

Interested? We’d love to hear from you.
