UWA Allied Health Department Visits UDRH SW to Strengthen Rural Training and Collaboration

On Wednesday 21 May, the Dean for the School of Allied Health at University of Western Australia (UWA), Rhonda Clifford and staff from the School visited the University Department Rural Health South West (UDRH SW) in Bunbury. The purpose of the visit was to provide the UWA staff with an update on UDRH SW activity, acquaint them with the South West campus and accommodation at the Edith Cowan University (ECU) Village and facilitate dialogue regarding placement opportunities, innovative placement models and ensuring that students access all the opportunities and experiences currently offered by the UDRH SW.

UWA currently has Optometry, Podiatry, Social Work, Pharmacy and Nursing students registered with the UDRH SW. Discussions regarding ongoing staff visits and dialogue took place, with lots of new connections made and opportunities for research collaborations and further interprofessional training opportunities explored.
