Year 10 students from across Busselton and Bunbury with an interest in healthcare careers attended ECU South West’s Futures in Focus event on 5 November.

The event connected students with health professionals from a range of disciplines who shared insights, hands-on activities, and career advice – a timely opportunity as students begin planning their Year 11 and 12 studies and future pathways into health. Students heard from University Department of Rural Health South West (UDRH SW) about why they should choose a health career and engaged in a Kahoots Quiz to test their knowledge of various Allied Health and Nursing professions.

UDRH SW also facilitated interactive stalls showcasing:

  • Dietetics
  • Exercise Physiology
  • Speech Pathology
  • Paramedicine
  • Occupational Therapy

UDRH SW was joined by teams from ECU, the Cancer Council, South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) and Kingston First Response all contributing engaging activities designed to inspire the next generation of health professionals!
